The Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Christopher Zaka Maikalangu has been declared winner of the Chairmanship election in the Abuja municipal Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory.
The Returning Officer for the municipal area council Professor Sani Saka declared the PDP candidate winner having polled 19302 to defeat his closest rival Murtala karshi of All Progressives Congress APC who scored 13340.
Meanwhile, elated Maikalangu in his remarks thanked the people of the municipal area council for the confidence imposed on him, promising to carry everyone along.
Hon Maikanlangu defeated 13 other candidates of other political parties to emerge winner of the keenly contested poll.
