The Nigeria Youths Democratic Party has raised concerns over the delay tactics deployed by the Independent National Electoral Commission on its request for registration as a political Party.
Chairman of the Political Association, Barry Johnson gave the indication at a news conference in Abuja. Explaining that they have fulfilled the requirements as stipulated in the nation’s electoral law, Johnson wondered why the electoral commission is allegedly playing the scripts written by Individuals in high places.
He however appealed to well meaning Nigerians including the International community to prevail on the INEC Leadership to do the needful in the interest of peace.
The Association also used the occasion to disassociate itself from any merger with existing political Parties or Groups. The NYDP why declaring itself as a political party citing relevant sections of the electoral act also indicated a strong intent to take over power in 2023.
