The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has assured FCT residents that the forth coming Area Council elections will be free and fair. INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu gave the indication when he visited the FCT INEC office in Garki Area 10. Prof Yakubu also indicated that the commission would raise the bar of credibility in the conduct of the election. Explaining some of the modalities put in place to ensure a seamless poll, the inec boss noted that sensitive materials would be customized based on the number of constituencies and parties fielding candidates. Meanwhile, the FCT INEC Resident Electoral Commission Yahaya Bello said all preparations had been made to ensure a successful election. The FCT Area council election is scheduled to hold on February 12, 2022.
