The fear of traveling at yuletide amidst insecurity in the country is majorly a challenge for many Nigerians whose fun trips may have been threatened, especially those embarking on journeys through the roads.Journey by road has become a source of concern for many Nigerians especially those who may not be able to afford the highly priced flight tickets by airlines this season.With the Christmas holidays only a few days away,Channel Network Afrique crew visited some of the major parks within and around that Abuja metropolis to gauge the mood of drivers and travellers.For some of the drivers, the artificial scarcity of Petrol motor spirit is not doing them any good.Despite assurances from the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC on availability of products, the scarcity of PMS may have increased transportation fare ,a development some of the travellers queried the inability of government to address.They further harp on the rising trend of insecurity and it’s implication on national growth and development insisting that it’s time for the government to evaluate it’s operations and initiative fresh ideas to address the challenges.
