The Independent National Electoral Commission, has called for the understanding of Nigerians, saying the decision to postpone the general elections was for the best interest of the nation’s democracy. INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu made the plea at a political stakeholders meeting in Abuja. He said operational and logistics among other challenges prompted the rescheduling of the elections which if allowed to go on would have meant some states starting well ahead of others.
