As the re-arraignment of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu is scheduled to begin tomorrow October, 21st, 2021, his lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor has asked the federal government to ensure that his client is produced in court to face trial without any excuse. Ejiofor who made the demand during a press conference in Abuja, frowned at FG’s failure to bring Kanu to court at the last adjourned date. Kanu is expected to appear before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday to continue his trial bordering on treasonable felony. The counsel also called on the Federal Government to ensure that security operatives deployed to the court for the proceedings are civil to both journalists and lawyers. After Kanu jumped bail, he was allegedly rearrested in Kenya by the security operatives and brought back to Nigeria.
