The Peoples Democratic Party has assured the former governor of Ekiti State Segun Oni and others hoping to clinch the party’s ticket for the forthcoming governorship election in the state that the party will conduct free, fair and transparent primaries. PDP National Organizing Secretary, Austin Akobundu gave the assurance at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja when Oni returned his nomination and expression of interest forms to the party. Akobundu reminded the aspirant that only the delegates will help him to win the primary and that he should not run around offices at the party’s national secretariat in search of help. Segun Oni who was removed from office as governor through court Judgment is back again assuring the people of Ekiti State that he will revolutionize the agricultural sector if he emerges as the state governor. The aspirants gunning for the PDP’s ticket have started trooping to the party’s national secretariat with their supporters for the gubernatorial poll slated to hold in June 28, 2022 in the state.
