The Federal Government is exploring all available measures with a view to bringing to an end all security challenges facing the country. The Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi stated this at the 14th annual leadership lecture/Graduation ceremony organized by the African Centre for Leadership Strategy and Development in Abuja. The occasion which has its theme as Leadership, Security and Nigeria’s Development attracted dignitaries including Nkem Izuako, former Judge, United Nations Dispute Tribunal, in Nairobi Kenya. Magashi who was represented by Smattah Musa, the Director, Army Affairs Department, Ministry of Defence assured that the insecurity in the country will soon be a thing of the past especially with strategic leadership and sustainable development being employed by government. Earlier, the Founding Executive Director of the centre, Otive Igbuzor noted that leadership failure is one of the factors responsible for underdevelopment in Africa. He also disclosed that the centre had been working for 12 years in building the capacity of youths in Nigeria. The graduands have been urged to put into use what they had learnt in order to improve themselves and contribute their quota to the leadership development of the country.
