As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to commemorate the 2021 International Youth day, need for value reorientation among the youth formed the nucleus of the discussion. Minister of Sports and Youths Development, Sunday Dare while addressing young persons from different parts of the Country who converge on Abuja to honour the special occasion said as time evolves the youths have also disregarded the ethos, principles and basic ethics of life. The Minister who was represented by one of his management staff Joy Osonye urged them to be determined in creating the Nigeria of their dream. The President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Abdullahi Abubakar, who was optimistic of a youth emerging as the next president of Nigeria in 2023, advised his peers to be focused and committed to “project Nigeria”. Some participants took turns to speak at the occasion. The theme for this year’s commemoration is “Building the Nigeria of our dreams”.
