The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Usman Baba has emphasized support from the police officers wives association POWA for effective policing in the country. The IGP gave the Indication while declaring open a 2 day Annual General Meeting Organised by the POWA in Abuja. Represented by the Deputy Inspector General of Police Sanusi Danlami, the police boss solicited the support of POWA members especially as it relates to ensuring personnel of the force live a worthy life after retirement. He further assured of support to the Association in the smooth implementation of it’s various initiatives and programmes. Earlier in her remarks, the President of POWA, Hajia Hajara Usman said the meeting was put on place to redefine the goals and aspirations of the Association inline with her three point Agenda The theme of the Conference is ” Policing with Quality Parenting Strategy and Life after Retirement”.
