Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba has assured Nigerians of renewed efforts to address present daunting security concerns in the country. Baba gave the indication after taking over the leadership of the Force as the 21st Inspector General Of Police. The new police boss who was earlier decorated to his new rank by Vice President Yemi Osibanjo at the State House Abuja acknowledged the security threats in Nigeria occasioned by activities of bandits, terrorists, secessionist and other sundry Organized crimes and vowed to change the narrative. Baba attributed the task of restoring primacy of the Force as the immediate concern of his administration. Usman Alkali Baba was on Tuesday April 6,2021 appointed as the acting Inspector General of Police by President Mohammadu Buhari. He was before the appointment, the DIG Force Criminal Investigation Department.
