No wonder the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai has adopted modern warfare skills in the fight against insurgency.
In spite of the limited resources in his possession, the army chief through his professionally trained troops have successfully degraded the Boko Haram Terrorists Group, Islamic State of West African Province, Bandits among other security threats bedevilling the country.
In recognition of his outstanding and Sterling achievements as an Ambassador of Peace and a Pillar of Support in the fight against insecurity in the country, the Coalition of Online Media Association of Nigeria (COMAN) presented him with an award of excellence as a mark of encouragement to do more.
Receiving the award on his behalf, the Director, Civil Military Affairs, Brigadier General, Aminu Goni said Nigerians deserve the right to security and peaceful coexistence devoid of threats to lives.
General Buratai however, used the occasion to assured the group of his desire to partner with them for the overall benefit of the country.
Earlier, COMAN Co-Chairman, Fred Idehai said the media are aware of the enormous efforts, innovations and Professionalism the Army Chief and his team are putting in place to tackle the security challenges across the country.
He further assured the army boss of the Association’s support to ensure that the army comes out top in its various endeavours to restore peace.
