Nigerian Government Blames Suger Smugglers for poor Economy
Twelve billion naira meant for the development of Sugar in Nigeria to ensure self sufficiency in the country has been grossly under utilised. The Executive Secretary, National Sugar Development Council, Lateef Busari, disclosed this at a news conference in Nigeria’s Capital Abuja. He said Investment in the sugar subsector of the economy is highly capital intensive as such willing investors are given minimum of five years to settle.
