The report of the 2019 general elections has been presented by the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu. Presenting the reports at the INEC Headquarters in Abuja, Prof Mahmood said they cover the commissions preparation, conduct and post election events. He said recommendations contained in the report were already being implemented, a factor responsible for the improvements in the recently conducted Edo and Ondo states Governorship elections. However, the INEC boss further hint at engagement with the National Assembly for review and amendment of the electoral act. The commission says it is confident the contents of the report will help strengthen efforts to deliver free, fair and credible elections.
