The Director-General of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, Professor Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso, has backed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying continuity in office could sustain economic reforms, accelerate industrialisation and advance Nigeria’s ambition of building a one trillion dollar economy.

Ike-Muonso stated this in Abuja when he received a delegation of the Tinubu Support Group, led by its Director-General, Dr Umar Tanko Yakassai, at the council’s headquarters.

The RMRDC boss said the Renewed Hope Agenda was creating opportunities for economic growth through policies aimed at promoting local production, value addition, investment and job creation.

Ike-Muonso added that his management team had aligned the council’s programmes with President Tinubu’s one trillion dollar economy target, identifying local processing and manufacturing as critical drivers of economic growth.

Earlier, the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group, Dr Umar Tanko Yakassai, said the delegation visited the council to obtain firsthand information about its activities, achievements and challenges.
