The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says electricity supply has been restored following a planned outage at the 132/33kV Apo Transmission Substation in Abuja.

In a statement the company said power was restored at 4:08 p.m. after the completion of maintenance work carried out to address a fault on Apo Lines 1 and 2 between Towers to TCN, the outage was scheduled to enable technical crews to undertake repair works and complete Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) latching on the two 132kV Apo transmission lines.

The company said the maintenance exercise was successfully completed, leading to the full restoration of power supply to affected areas.

TCN thanked electricity customers impacted by the outage for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption.

The transmission company reiterated its commitment to maintaining a reliable and efficient transmission network to improve electricity supply across its service areas.
