Headquarters Sector 3 Operation HADIN KAI/Multinational Joint Task Force (OPHK/MNJTF) donated educational materials to selected schools in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State on Saturday, 8 August 2026.
The distribution forms part of the Nigerian Army’s Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) non-kinetic efforts aimed at supporting local education, building community resilience, and deepening trust between the military and civilian populace within its Area of Responsibility.
Speaking at the presentation event, the Sector Commander, Brigadier General Shehu Ahmed, represented by the Commander Sector 3 Garrison, Brigadier General Ikechukwu Ogundele, reiterated the military’s dedication to initiatives that enhance community well-being.
”Education remains fundamental to sustainable development and community resilience,” Brigadier General Ogundele noted, emphasizing that non-kinetic interventions complement ongoing military operations by building the trust and cooperation required to sustain long-term peace in the North East.
Mr. Babagana Modu Kur, who received the items on behalf of the Monguno Local Government Authority, expressed gratitude to the military command for its assistance in educational development and its broader efforts toward restoring normalcy in Borno State. He assured that the supplies would be equitably distributed to the designated schools.
The exercise was formally announced by Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer for Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI in Maiduguri.
