In a bid to checkmate examination malpractice, identity theft and other related offences, the Joint Admissions Matriculations Board, JAMB, paid a courtesy visit to the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC. This is also in line with the directive of president Muhammadu Buhari to all government agencies, to ensure effective and qualitative service delivery to all Nigerian, through collaboration and synergy. Speaking at the event, JAMB registrar, professor Ishaq Oloyede stated that a collaboration between the two organizations will not only fast track registration processes but will also cut cost as well as eliminate various registration infractions. Also at the event was the Director General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms, Dasuki Arabi, who commended the two organizations for the initiative which according to him will boost the effciency of the nations public service. The collaboration, if actualized will require applicants to provide a National Identification Number, NIN, during JAMB UTME registration, leading to the elimination of biometric capturing during the process.
