The Central Bank of Nigeria has placed embargo on the release of foreign exchange for the importation of milk into the country. CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele who disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the Monetary Policy Committee Meeting in Abuja said Nigeria has all it takes to produce milk instead of concentrating in importation of the product. He explained that importers of milk after rejecting the backward integration policy to produce milk in Nigeria resolve to blackmailing the apex bank to release Forex for the purpose.
