These were the contestants, judges, facilitators and selected audience at the China-Africa Good Partners, 2024 Nigeria Chinese Speech Contest for undergraduates of Nigeria’s universities.
The contest at the China Cultural Centre in Abuja is part of the two countries’ culture exchange programme.
The Cultural Counsellor, China Embassy who is also the Director, China Cultural Centre in Nigeria, Yang Jianxing said contest will strengthen the existing bilateral relationship on cultural tourism.
He also commended the competitors for their quality performance.
Speaking on behalf of other contestants, the winner of the 2024 Nigeria Chinese Speech contest, Ugwanyi Chinaecherem Mabel spoke on her motivating factor to learning Chinese language.
The China Cultural Centre has partnership with selected schools in Abuja, University of Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe University for the teaching and learning of Chinese language.
