Zamfara state Governor, Dauda Lawal has appealed to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for increased intervention fund to boost infrastructural development in some of its owned tertiary institutions.
Lawal who made the appeal in Abuja when he paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc Sonny Echono, also sought the support of TETFund to complete some of the abandoned projects, especially at the State University.
Governor Lawal who underscored the importance of TETFund in the nations tertiary education system added that some of the key decisions of his administration in the sector requires extensive funding support to succeed.
Responding, the Executive Secretary of TETFund Sonny Echono assured the Governor of the Funds support to education development in Zamfara state especially as it relates to it’s mandate.
Echono further restated TETFund’s commitment to ensure students across the country have access to quality education.
