As part of efforts to rid the nation of diverse crimes, the Nigerian Police recently paraded forty five men of the underworld for alleged armed robbery, Kidnapping, gun running and car theft.
Parading the alleged criminals at the Intelligence Response Team office in Abuja, the Force Public Relations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the suspects were arrested in different parts of the country.
He said in the past weeks, the crack team intensified its efforts in the fight against crimes and criminality which resulted to the arrest of the forty five suspects.
Some of the daredevil members of the criminal syndicate spoke on their involvement in the crimes they are accused of.
The Police Spokesperson also used the occasion to reeling out other achievements recorded so far under the leadership of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
Some of the items recovered from the suspects are, Eight Barrett pistols, one AK 47 rifle, ten AK 47 live ammunition, four cars, hard drugs, charms among other incriminating items.
