The federal government has been urged to end the incessant clashes between farmers and herders, banditry and other security challenges in Benue state.
Presiding Bishop of Dominion chapel international Church, ArchBishop John Praise made the call at the unveiling of a book titled “Timeless Flame” in Abuja.
Lamenting over the lives lost to the clashes, the cleric who spoke strongly on the place of peace to national development said measures should be deployed to ensure peaceful coexistence in the state and Nigeria at large.
He added that Benue is strategic to Nigeria going by the agricultural value it brings to the table. Meanwhile, the author of the book Pastor Gift Lemuels in her remarks said she was divinely inspired to write the book to further project the challenges faced by Nigerians and the need for the government to wake up to its responsibilities.
