According to a signed statement by the College Public Relations Officer, Major George Okupe made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA, the Commandant congratulated the recently promoted senior officers and urged them to redouble their efforts to justify the confidence the NA reposed in them.
Gen Etuk who noted that the event may look simple stressed how symbolic and important the investiture is to the beneficiaries, while reminding them that elevation to a new rank comes with enormous tasks and added responsibilities.
He implored all officers to re-evaluate their social values in terms of having integrity, loyalty and empathy.
The Commandant further enjoined the newly decorated senior officers to remain committed to the Service as he solicits for continuous support from the families of the beneficiaries, reiterating that to whom much is given, much is expected.
He expatiated that the promotion should be the reason for them to put more effort into their services to the system while expressing his appreciation to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) for his relentless support to the College and for finding his officers worthy to be promoted.
The investiture ceremony was well graced and had in attendance staff officers and families as well as well-wishers amongst others.
