The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has suspended the operating licence of DAAR Communications PLC, parent company of Africa Independent Television and Ray Power, until further notice. The commission announced the decision at a press briefing in Abuja. According to NBC Director General, Modibbo Kawu, reasons for the suspension includes propagation of hate speeches on some of its programmes, alleged inability to pay license renewal fees among others.
