All is set for the launch of an electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System and Geospatial Data Repository by President Bola Tinubu Chairman, National Population Commission NPC Hon Isa Kwarra who disclosed this at a pre-launch briefing in Abuja.
said it is expected to strengthen civil registration data capturing, collation, processing, dissemination and timely access to statistics on vital events in the country.
Kwarra further indicated that the feat will further accelerate the improved civil registration and vital statistics systems in Nigeria in a bid to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal.
Speaking Further, the NPC boss explained that the gesture marks a complete departure from traditional paper-based recording of vital events to a state-of-the-art digital solution that conforms to international best practices.
The concept was developed by the NPC with support from the united Nations Children Fund
