The Call for the sack of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle took a new twist on Wednesday in Abuja as the Group pushing for his removal staged a peaceful protest at the National Assembly Gate.
The Coalition under the auspices of Civil Society Advocacy Groups for Accountability and Probity in their numbers called on the Senate to rise to the occasion and support the move to sack the former Zamfara state Governor from the President Tinubu led federal Executive Council.
They cited allegations related to corruption and embezzlement of state funds running into billions of naira as basis for their action.
The Coalition further submitted a protest letter to the leadership of the Senate through the Director, Sergeant at Arms of the National Assembly.
