The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Accredited Observer Organisations (Foreign and Domestic) has called for justice to prevail in the petition challenging the victory of Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party.
Recall that the state Election Petition Tribunal nullified the victory of Gov Yusuf and declared the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress Nadir Gawuna as the winner of the 18th March 2023 Governorship Election in Kano State.
Reacting to the development at a press briefing in Abuja, the Coalition hinted that the vote case for the candidate of the NNPP at the Governorship election reflects the wishes of the people and should not be sabotage by the judiciary.
The group painted a picture of its observation of the 18th, March 2023 Governorship and Sate Assembly Elections in the north west state.
With the Tribunal judgement already appealed by the NNPP, judicial cross fire in the matter will now shift to the court of Appeal.
