Religious Leaders Urged To Speak For The Voiceless – Premate Ndukuba.

The Premate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Most Reverend Henry Ndukuba has emphasized the need for religious leaders to be bold in speaking the truth to power especially as it affects the voiceless in the society.

The Premate gave the indication at a service of songs organised in honour of late Most Rev Maxwell Anikwenwa, former Dean of the Church of Nigeria who died in March 13,2023.

He said the late dean in his life time was a fearless clergyman who stood for the truth and fought against all forms of injustice in the church and society at large.

Rev Ndukuba called on Nigerians to emulate the late cleric and be committed to virtues that will make the country a better place.

The Premate of the Church of Nigeria further said most Rev Anikwenwa will be remembered for his stand for social gospel.

Anikwenwa who died at the age of 83 retired as the Archbishop of the Niger before his appointment as Dean of the church of Nigeria.
