Following the recent attack of some villages in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters’ Operation Save Haven has arrested five suspects linked to the crime.
The Director, Defence Media Operation, Major General, Musa Danmadami disclosed this while addressing a news conference on feat recorded by the Armed Forces in Clamping down terrorist in the country between the period of May 4th to 18th this year.
He said troops of Operation Save Haven promptly responded to information on an attack at Kubun village in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State by some unknown gunmen, adding that five arrests were made during its clearance operations.
Activities of troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the North East Zone that led to the rescue of one adopted chibok school girl as well as the killing of 26 Boko Haram, Islamic State of West Africa Province terrorists and the arrest of 25 terrorists logistics suppliers, was also highlighted.
Gen Danmadami further stated that troops of Operation UDO KA have sustained the offensive against the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafara in the South East Zone as a suspected IPOB/ESN criminal who has been on the security watch list has been arrested.
The Military high command while commending troops of the armed forces and other security agencies for their unrelenting efforts in various theatre of operations urged them to remain decisive in the quest to restore peace and security in the country.
