The New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP has expelled it’s chairmen in Delta and Ogun state chapter of the party Chief Efe Tobir and Olaposi Ogini for engaging in anti party activities in the last general elections.
Announcing the resolution at the end of the party’s National Working Committee meeting held in Abuja, the NNPP National Publicity Secretary, Agbo Major said both chairmen on two occasions failed to appear before a disciplinary committee set up to investigate the allegations against them.
The NNPP NWC also dissolved the executives of the party from the state to ward levels in the affected states with effect from Thursday April 27, 2023.
The meeting also brainstormed on the forthcoming Governorship elections in Kogi,Bayelsa and Imo states and urged the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to ensure the will and mandate of the people are respected.
Security agencies were also tasked to discharged their responsibilities as enshrined in the law to address the concerns of voter apathy that characterized some polling units in the just concluded general election.
Meanwhile, the NNPP condemned the increasing trend of security threats across the nation saying such killings, kidnapping among others must be nip in the bud. End.
