As the nations security forces continue to battle insurgency and other criminalities,the Chief Of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has charged Army field commanders to sustain the onslaught.
General Yahaya stated this during the closing ceremony of the COAS First Quarter 2023 Conference which commenced on monday in Abuja to deliberate on the operational performance of the Army in the first quarter of the year.
The Army Chief stated that the onslaught against the insurgency menace must be sustained for increased successes that have led to the mass surrender of insurgents and their families.
General Yahaya further challenged the senior officers on need to build potentials of their force with research potentials that will assist in curbing the security threats in the country.
The Conference presents opportunity by the Army leadership to review some of its operational strategies for a more visible outcome in the fight against various security challenges.
