The Presidential Candidate and National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for the party’s performance in the March 18th Governorship election.

The former Kano State governor, who addressed journalists after the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), meeting in Abuja, said the NNPP did not win more states because it’s logo was not visible for the voters to identify.

Explaining that the poor printing and representation of the party on the ballot papers by INEC was enough reason for the NNPP to demand outright cancellation of the entire polls, the presidential candidate however urged the commission to correct the errors in subsequent elections.

Kwakwanso who also gave a brief assessment of the 2023 elections commended the security agencies for the discharge of their responsibilities.

Earlier, the NNPC National Chairman, Prof Rufa’i Alkali commended the people of Kano state for the trust and believe in the NNPP saying the Governor elect will deliver on his campaign promises.

The NNPP candidate Abba Yusuf was declared winner of the Kano state Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
