Just In: Nigeria Moves To Prevent Road Accident Deaths.

According to report by the National Bureau of Statistics, no fewer than 1,538 Nigerians died in road accidents in the fourth quarter of 2018. The report further stated that a total 2,532 road crashes including over 8,000 injury cases were recorded in the period under review. Speaking at the 5th Global road safety week in Abuja, Minister of State for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire expressed regret over the trend saying the consequences affects not just the victims but their families and nation’s economy. He however said the federal government has initiated measures aimed at reducing death rates resulting from road crashes.
