The Independent National Electoral Commission has expressed its readiness for next weekend general elections.
This is as the commission commenced the second phase of training for adhoc staff comprising of presiding and assistant presiding officers across the country.
Briefing newsmen after inspecting ongoing work at the International Conference Center Abuja,venue for collation of both presidential and National Assembly election, the INEC Chairman,Prof Mahmood Yakubu who commended the progress made so far said results from both elections would be compiled at the center.
Yakubu who toured the various segment of the National collation centre expressed optimism that it would be ready for operations before the commencement of the general election.
The INEC boss further disclose plans to host the National peace Accord meeting where the respective presidential candidates are expected to sign the peace Accord for a violent free and transparent election on Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at the ICC.
