The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) has vowed to bring dealers of substandard products to their knees through sustained collaboration with relevant security agencies in order to ensure that the country is rid of fake and substandard products.
The Director General, SON, Mallam Farouk Salim made this known in an interview with Channel Network Afrique (CNA) in Abuja.
He said despite the enormous challenges facing their operation, the agency has come out tall in the fight to check fake and substandard products in the economy.
Mallam, Salim while acknowledging progress SON has recorded so far in the fight against substandard goods and services urged the staff to do more to ensure sanity in the nation’s economy.
He however, called on Nigerians to always avail the agency with credible information that will help in addressing the existing challenge posed by substandard items in Nigeria.
