2023: ECOWAS Delegation Meets Political Parties,Calls For Hitch free Election.

The Chairman,Inter Party Advisory Committee, IPAC Alhaji Yagbaji Sani has expressed optimism that the new Electoral Law would drive a hitch free 2023 general election. Sani said this when a delegation from the ECOWAS Pre-Election Fact-Finding Mission to Nigeria paid a working visit to his office in Abuja.

He expressed political parties’ commitment to credible elections and urged ECOWAS to continue to show interest to ensure that the elections were free and fair.

Earlier, leader of the delegation and former Chaian of Ghanaian Electoral Commission Dr Kwadwo Afari-Gyan said they are in Nigeria to interface with critical political stakeholders for a successful conduct of next year’s general election.

Afari-Gyan further urged political parties to work with INEC to ensure that the elections were credible and successful.

The delegation also advised the parties to play by the rules and allow citizens to choose freely at the 2023 elections.
