The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu has charged the party’s 128-member national campaign council for the Osun State governorship election to win the state for PDP.
Ayu gave the charge during the inauguration of the members of the campaign council at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Represented by the acting National Chairman of the party, Ayu told the members that winning the State is key to the party emerging victorious in the next year’s general elections.
Vice presidential candidate of PDP for 2023 election, Ifeanyi Okowa urged the council to work harmoniously and bridge gap of disunity among the party’s stakeholders.
In the same vein, Taraba State governor, who represented the Chairman of the campaign council, Duoye Diri promised that the members of the council will campaign vigorously in order to achieve victory.
This is the second time the PDP governorship candidate in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke is vying for the number one seat in the state having lost to the incumbent governor Adegboyega Oyetola of the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2018.
