Former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu kwankwaso has clinched the presidential ticket of the New Nigeria people’s Party’s NNPP for the 2023 general elections. Kwankwaso, who is the sole presidential aspirant, emerged as the candidate of NNPP at the party’s special convention held in Abuja.
In his acceptance speech, the former lawmaker commended the party leadership including the delegates for the success of the exercise. He urged them to support him in his efforts to win the presidential poll as well as initiate policies that will put Nigeria on the road map of success.
Kwankwaso further tasked Nigerians on the need to get their voters card to bring about the change needed to transform the country.
Earlier in his remarks, the National Chairman of the Party, Prof Ahmed Rufai who said the NNPP is on a mission to restore hope to Nigerians, noted that the special convention was to confirmed Kwankwaso as the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections.
Kwankwaso will contest for the nations number one job with the likes of Former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, Former Lagos state Governor Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress and others in the 2023 presidential election.
