One of Nigeria’s representative to the 2022 first ordinary session Senator Obinna Ogba has called for an improved security architecture to check the spade of insecurity in the sub-region.
Senator, Ogba who made the call in an interview in the Nigerian capital city, Abuja said attitudinal change is required to addressing the menace.
The lawmaker who was not in total support of community police as being advocated in some quarter of Nigeria due to the possibility of state governors turning the scheme into their puppet however, spoke on the role of the ECOWAS Parliament in promoting democratic value in the sub-region especially as Nigeria goes to polls in 2023 .
Senator, Obinna Ogba who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on sports further appealed to Nigerians and every stakeholders in the nation’s electoral process to play their roles to ensure a hitch-free, credible and fair polls next year.
