INEC is also asking the political parties to forward the list of their candidates at the State levels from 1st to 15th July as provided in the timetable and schedule of activities by the commission.
INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, disclosed this in Abuja during a meeting with the Resident Electoral commissioners to review the number of inter_ related activities and continuous voters Registration.
In his assessment of the nationwide Continuous Voters Registration, Yakubu lamented the negative impact of insecurity against the exercise assuring all eligible registrants that no one will be left out.
He however reminded the Political Parties that only the names of candidates that emerged from democratic primaries as provided by Sec. 84 of the Electoral Act 2022 will be submitted to the Commission.
