Ahead of next year’s general election, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has issued certificate of return to its gubernatorial candidates. Speaking at the party’s secretariat in Abuja, PDP, National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu said the party is going back to its winning ways like when it started in 1999 When they were able to produce 21 Governors.
Expressing worries over the sudden decline in the number of governors the party has produced in the last 8years, the PDP National Chairman urged the returnees to work hard in reconciling aggrieved members in order to have a hitch-free exercise in 2023.
The PDP Presidential flag bearer, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar expressed optimism that forming a formidable team with the governors, will ensure winning next year’s polls for the party across board.
Also present at the ceremony were some party chieftains and the PDP Governorship Candidate for Kebbi State, Aminu Bande and that of Ogun State, Ladi Adebutu.
