Former Governor of Imo State and presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Sen.Rochas Okorocha has expressed confidence in the newly elected National Working Committee(NWC) of the party led by the National Chairman, Sen. Abdulahi Adamu.
Okorocha, made the indication while addressing newsmen at the APC National Headquarters in Abuja.
The lawmaker advised the the Adamu led party Leadership to hit the ground running and resolved issues that may affect the APC chances in the 2023 general elections.
The former Governor also reacted to reasons why the ruling party’s law must be strictly adhered to in the conduct of it’s presidential primary.
The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Sen.George Akume,also led a delegation from Benue state to the APC National Secretariat on a solidarity visit to the national chairman.
Akume who explained measures being put in place to address the crisis in the state chapter of the party expressed optimism in the ability of the new APC national leadership to deal with the contending issues.
The former Governor further used the opportunity to inform Nigerians of his resolve to donate the 20 million naira paid for his national chairman nomination forms to the APC.
