Troops sustain Hunt For Bello Turji As 2 Deadly Terrorists, Members Surrender

The Defence Headquarters says, troops in theatre of operations in the North-West will not relent in its efforts until the hunt for the notorious terrorist leader, Bello Turji and his cohorts yield fruits.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General, Edward Buba, and made available to Channel Network Afrique, CNA.

According to the statement, troops will continue to eliminate treats posed by terrorists by destroying them on the battlefield.

“The terrorist either surrender or be buried on the battlefield,” it said.

The statement also indicated that two prominent terrorist leaders, Abu Radde and Umar Black, operating in Batsari and Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State have surrendered to troops of Operation Fansan Yanma.

The statement said the submission of self by the terrorist leaders was occassioned by ongoing synchronised offensive operations by the ground troops and the air component which resulted in several terrorist dislodged from their enclaves with high casualties.

The statement added that during the operations, troops recovered assorted weapons, ammunitions as well as secured the release of 15 hostages held by the terrorist.

“Additionally, troops continue with their operations to create conditions whereby terrorist are denied the ability to carry out acts of terror against citizens,” the statement concluded.
