The Defence headquarters has disclosed the elimination of a high profile terrorists commander known as Uzaofa,who was the MINZIR that connotes the fourth inline of the terrorists leadership structure by it’s troops of Operation Hadin Kai.
The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. General Musa Danmadami who stated this during a press briefing in Abuja to update Nigerians on the strides recorded from 11th – 25th August 2022 said the air component of the troop carried out strikes on terrorists enclaves in Sambisa forest and the Tumbuns in Borno State based on credible intelligence indicating the gathering of terrorist hosted by a top ranking commander, believed to be the Islamic State of West Africa Province leader of Sambisa forest.
Gen Danmadami noted that the air strike led to the neutralization of 25 terrorist with 18 others seriously injured. He further gave an update on other feats achieved by troops in other operational theatres resulting to elimination of scores of terrorist and arrests of others.
Furthermore, Gen Danmadami, said troops of operation Hadarin Daji neutralized a notorious terrorists commander identified as Sojan Madagwal who was responsible for various attacks and road blocks along Gusau road, Zamfara state and also on the wanted list of security agencies with members of his gang.
Activities of troops in the south south zone was also captured in the briefing as their onslaught against oil theft and illegal bunkering led to the recovering of millions of Automotive Gas Oil, Premium motor spirit among others as well as the destruction of several illegal refining sites. While commending the troops for their bravery, the Military high command further urged Nigerians to continue to provide credible information on activities of terrorist in their locality in the quest to return peace to the Country.
