The Defence headquarters has assured of the commitment of its troops in diverse operations to sustain the fight against banditry,Boko Haram Terrorists, oil theft and pipeline vandalism,illegal oil bunkering, amongst other insecurity threats in the country. This according to the Coordinator defence media operations, Maj General John Enenche is line with the directive of president Muhammadu Buhari to rid the country of all forms of security threats. Speaking at it’s weekly briefing to update Nigerians on the successes recorded from 6 – 12 August,2020, Enenche indicated the discovery of an illegal refining site in onne Rivers state by its troops in the south south region. The Defence spokesperson also gave an update on operations in the northern part of the country. Commending the gallant troops and personnel of other security agencies for the feat recorded thus far, the defence high command urged them to remain determined and sustain the tempo in efforts to rid the nation of the activities of criminal elements
