The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) and the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening research, innovation and the production of industry-ready graduates.
At the signing ceremony in Abuja, TETFund Executive Secretary, Arch. Sonny Echono, said the partnership aligns with the Federal Government’s vision of building an economy powered by the skills, enterprise and innovation of Nigerian youths.
He noted that the collaboration will prioritise research, innovation and the development of graduates who are “fit for purpose” and prepared to contribute meaningfully to industry.

On his part, NACCIMA National President, Engr. Jani Ibrahim, underscored the importance of strong ties between industry and the education sector in driving national development.

The MoU outlines several objectives, including promoting research and innovation tailored to industrial and societal needs, and facilitating the commercialisation of research outcomes, among other goals.
