Subsidy Removal: Health Workers Demand Palliatives For Workers.

The Federal Government has been advised on need to provide palliatives to the nations workforce to cushion the effect of the policy of subsidy removal.

The acting National President of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, Comrade Kabiru Sani who said this on the occasion of the 49th session of the National Executive Council of the Union in Abuja, advanced reasons why the government should deal with the resultant effect of the policy on the masses.

He urged the President Tinubu led government to quickly conclude negotiations with the organised labour and come up with measures that will put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.

Comrade Sani further used the opportunity to brief members of the union on the highlight of their meeting with President Tinubu resulting from the strike by the Joint Health Sector Unions.

The NEC meeting was attended by top leaders of the union including the former President of Nigeria Labour Congress, Comrade Ayuba Wabba who in his remarks joined calls for befitting Palliative for Workers.

The union vowed not to relent in the struggle for appropriate welfare measures for it’s members.
