The Federal Capital Territory Police Command says it has arrested 82 suspects on connection with 49 reported cases between May and June 2025.
FCT Police Commissioner, CP Ajao Adewale disclosed this at a press briefing in Abuja, saying the successes followed detailed crime mapping and targeted operations across identified hotspots within the territory.
A breakdown of the cases revealed 7 kidnapping incidents leading to the arrest of 17 suspects while 3 were neutralized during the operations.
The Command also recovered several firearms, stolen vehicles, motorcycles, mobile phones, and N 79,000 in cash during the operations.
Looking ahead, CP Adewale said the Command will intensify efforts in community policing, intelligence led operations and public enlightenment campaigns to further secure the FCT.
CP Adewale assured residents that the Command remains fully committed to tackling crime and maintaining peace across the Federal Capital Territory.
