The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence squad NSCDC has commenced trading of special female squad to be deployed to schools nationwide to curtail security threats on educational institutions.
NSCDC Commandant General Ahmed Audi, disclosed this at the train-the-trainer workshop for it’s personnel in Abuja. Represented by Deputy Commandant General, Crisis and Disaster Management, Nnamdi Nwinyi, the NSCDC boss advised the unit to remain focused, resilient and committed to the security of schools, protection of students and staff.
He said the corps have developed a robust template that would crystallise into more precise action to tackle hostilities and achieve sustainable, safe schools in Nigeria. Earlier, Facilitator of the training, Frank Ohwofa in his remarks urged the participants to take advantage of the exercise to build on their knowledge and experiences in the field.
The need for participants to pass down the knowledge and skills acquired to all personnel under them was also emphasized at the training.
